The Yellow Boat of Hope Foundation Indonesia (Yayasan Perahu Kuning Harapan) is a non-profit organization that aims to provide access to education for children in remote and poverty-stricken areas by providing boats to reach their schools.
Began as School Boat Indonesia in 2015 when Meralda (co-founder) learned about the struggles of children in a coastal community in the Kerora Village, Rinca Island who had to separate with their families to get closer to the high school. In June 2023, School Boat Indonesia achieved a significant milestone by officially becoming a registered foundation and an official chapter of the Yellow Boat of Hope organization in the Philippines.
